Michael Settles

Michael E. “Mike” Settles 40, of Greendale, Indiana, passed away Saturday August 22, 2020 in Lawrenceburg, IN.

He was born June 2, 1980 in Cincinnati, OH, son of Michael E Settles Sr.and Lottie (Holt) Settles.

He worked for Amazon. Mike enjoyed the outdoors. He loved fishing, tinkering on cars, listening to music (The Beatles, and Hank Williams Sr. were favorites.) Mike was an avid Reds and Bengal’s fan. He was also an animal lover. His cats, Tigger and Benny, were current favorites. Mike was a very caring and helpful person. When his mom became ill, Mike came to live with her to help her out during that time. Mike’s most treasured time was spent with friends and family.

Michael is survived by his loving parents, Michael E Settles Sr.of Aurora and Lottie (Holt) Settles of Greendale, IN, brother, Jeff (Angel) Ramseyer of Erlanger, KY; siblings, Tracy Thesing of Aurora, IN, Amy (Myron) Kilburn of Friendship, IN, Stacy (James) Stanton of Friendship, IN; paternal grandmother, Kathleen Settles of Lawrenceburg, IN; Many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Friends will be received Wednesday, August 26, 2020, 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana.

Services will be held at 8:00 pm, following visitation, with Mark Tanner, officiating.

Donations will be used to the funeral home to defray funeral expenses. If unable to attend services, please call the funeral home office at (812) 926-1450 and we will notify the family of your donation with a card.

Due to the current situation dealing with COVID-19, we are following the directives from Governor Holcomb and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention concerning large events and mass gatherings. The family deeply appreciates the support and love shown from friends, but the health and well being of everyone in our community is of top priority. We are asking everyone who will be in attendance to please remember the social distancing guidelines at all times, and the wearing of masks is highly recommended.
