Melody ‘Mel’ Lee Bridgeford, age 56 of Batesville, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at her home. The daughter of Raymond and Diona (nee: Acres) Holt was born on July 26, 1961 in Batesville.
Melody loved to be surrounded by her family and friends. She loved her job at GECOM and she considered her coworkers as her second family. In her free time, she enjoyed being outdoors. Whether she was tending to her flowerbeds, hunting for mushrooms, picking wild berries or mowing the lawn, she was happy to be outside.
She will be dearly missed by her daughters Holly Hurst (Troy) of West Harrison, IN and Alicia Gibbs (Dave Hermesch) of Batesville; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren with one on the way; brothers Dan, Dave, Steve & Randy Holt; sisters, Carolyn Reese and Teresa Isaacs; several nieces and nephews; along with special friend, Tommy Barkdull.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Tim Holt and husband Craig Bridgeford in 2009.
Visitation will be Monday, February 12, 2018 from 4-7pm immediately followed by funeral services at 7pm all at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville. Rev. Tom Holt officiating. Burial will be 10:00AM on Tuesday at the Methodist Church Cemetery in Batesville.
