Melba Dean “Deannie” Noel

Melba Dean “Deannie” Noel, age 76, of Versailles, Indiana, formerly of Switzerland County, Indiana, entered this life on November 7, 1944 in Madison, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late, Kenneth and Isabelle (Raisor) Noel. She was raised in Switzerland County and was a 1962 graduate of Vevay High School. She later graduated from beautician school in 1963 in Indianapolis, Indiana and was employed for four years. She later was employed for the US Shoe Factory in Vevay, Indiana for 23 years and retired in 1998 from R&B Factory in Warsaw, Kentucky after eight years. She resided all of her life in the Switzerland County community and was a member of the Switzerland Baptist Church. Deannie enjoyed crocheting, scrapbooking and watching westerns. She loved flowers, horses, her cat Mugsy, her dog Sadie and her granddogs. She also loved traveling to Florida especially Daytona Beach and Disney World as well as, Gatlinburg and Graceland, Tennessee. Deannie passed away at 11:17 p.m., Saturday, February 20, 2021, at the King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison, Indiana.

Melba will be missed by her daughter, Kendra Emery and her husband, Mickey of Versailles, IN; her brother, Ronald Noel of Columbus, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Noel, died November 19, 1982 and Isabelle (Raisor) Noel, died September 20, 2004 and her brother, Lloyd K. Noel, died September 10, 1966.

Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
