Mary Weldishofer

Mary Hodapp Weldishofer, 81 years old, of St. Leon, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022. Mary, better known as “Hodie”, grew up in Cincinnati where she worked as a beautician in her mother’s beauty shop. Hodie’s future sister-in-law also worked at the beauty shop and happened to introduce Hodie to her brother, Joe Weldishofer. The rest, as they say, is history. Mary and Joe were married in 1973 and moved to St. Leon to raise a family. A mom to eight children, Hodie was an amazing stay at home mom and listened to her children with open ears. She made mental notes of things that they wanted and one way or another, was able to give it to them. Hodie was always thinking of others. After her children were grown up, Hodie was blessed with grandchildren whom she helped babysit. She enjoyed crafting and was considered the queen of Coca-Cola as she collected everything she could related to the brand.

Mary will be deeply missed by her children Ron (Jane) Weldishofer of Sunman, Terry (Tracey) Weldishofer of St. Leon, Amber (Jim) Wilson of Aurora, Greg (Kristen) Weldishofer of Frenchburg, KY, Lance Weldishofer of St. Leon, Mitch Weldishofer of St. Leon, and Tyler (CJ Reese) Weldishofer of Cincinnati; grandchildren Joey, Larissa, Cade, Devin, Joe, Alaysha, Landon, Colton, Braden, Blake, Kaleb, Reese, Luna, Jasmine; and great-grandchildren Jacole and Jamar. She is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Joe; son Joe and daughter Tammy; granddaughter Hannah; and parents Georgetta and Clarence Hodapp.
