Mary Marlene Opp, 90, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022, in Aurora, Indiana.
She was born February 14, 1932, in Cincinnati, Ohio, daughter of the late William Marquet and Ada Vonderbrink Marquet.
Mary attended grade school at Holy Family in Price Hill and Graduated from Seton H.S. She worked in the cafeteria for the Cincinnati Public Schools.
Mary loved to travel extensively across the US with her husband Bill, and they also loved to camp. Mary enjoyed socializing at the Cleves Senior Center. She enjoyed crafts, flower gardening, and college football and basketball, especially Cincinnati and NKU. She loved the Bengals, Colts and the Cincinnati Reds. Mary enjoyed being outdoors, watching and feeding the birds, especially the Cardinals and Hummingbirds.
Mary is survived by her son, Edward Opp (Monica Callahan) of Aurora, IN; brothers, Joseph (Dorothy) Marquet of Cincinnati, OH, William Marquet of Mason, OH; grandchildren, Kyle (Jessica) Opp of Dillsboro, IN, Dustin (Samantha) Opp of Aurora, IN; great-grandchildren, Hunter Opp, Christian Brown, Elena & Evangeline Opp.
She was preceded in death by parents William and Ada; stepmother Mary, and husband, William W. Opp.
The Opp family will be forever grateful for the love, kindness, and friendship of Mom’s nieces and nephews, Sister-in-Law Helen Eisenman, and close friends Gerri Knollman, and Frank and Beth Woesman.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
