Mary Louise Romans, 83, of Ohio County, IN, passed away on Monday, October 28th, 2024 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. Louise was born in Cincinnati, OH on October 25, 1941, a daughter of the late Allene (Culver) Rogers and Gonza Rogers. Louise grew up in the Cincinnati community and attended school there. She later worked for several years in the finishing department for a woodworking and cabinetry firm in Cincinnati. She was the wife of Othel Scott Romans. Louise and Scott were married in 1964 and celebrated 60 years together until her passing. Louise enjoyed the outdoors and loved to go fishing.
Louise is survived by her loving husband, Scott Romans, of Ohio County, IN; by two sons, Gary “Tony” Wainscott, of Cincinnati, OH, and Greg A. Wainscott, of Sharonville, OH; by a stepdaughter, Jackie Leach, of Colerain Twp, OH; by 7 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Louise is also survived by a sister, Mary Fultz, of Cincinnati, OH, and by a brother, Eugene Culver, of West Chester, OH. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, by her daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Wainscott, by her sister, Juanita Dunaway and by 2 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 2nd, 2024 at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN. Visitation will be held 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 2nd at Markland Funeral Home. Burial will be at Cedar Hedge Cemetery in Rising Sun, IN. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
