Mary E. (Newhart) Lows

Mary E. Lows, 96, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away Saturday November 21, 2020.

She was born June 10, 1924 in Ripley County, Indiana, daughter of the late Charles Newhart and Clara (Wolford) Porsch.

Mary graduated in 1945 from Jewish Hospital School of Nursing. She worked at the Whitlatch Clinic in Milan then moved on to work at Dearborn County Hospital. Mary was also a Nurse Cadet. Mary was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. She was a Co-owner of Lows Jewelry Store in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Mary loved genealogy, and has compiled many volumes of research.

Mary is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Lows, twin sons, Barry L Lows, and Gregory B Lows; brothers, Jack Charles Newhart, and John William Newhart.

Friends will be received Wednesday, November 25, 2020, 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 542 Walnut Street, Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the church, at 12:00 pm with Father Ben Syberg officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Sinai Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
