Mary A. Jones, age 76 of Cincinnati, died Monday, February 7, 2022 at Our Hospice in Columbus, Indiana. Born March 3, 1945 in Cincinnati, she is the daughter of Agnes (Nee: Lamping) and Bernard Beckmann Sr. Mary worked eight year at Fernald and over 20 years at her family’s grocery store in Taylors Creek, Ohio. She was a member of St. Bernard Of Clairvaux Church in Taylors Creek.
Family was extremely important to Mary. She attended all of her grandsons’ and nieces’ activities and events. She also helped her daughter make crafts along with lending a hand at craft shows. Mary loved to travel and has been to most of the 50 states. Cruises to Alaska and the Caribbean were among her favorite trips taken.
She is survived by her daughter Stephanie (Robert) Browning of Oldenburg, sister Hilda Farwick of Cleves, Ohio; brother Bob (Barb) Beckmann of Cincinnati, Ohio and grandson Ethan Browning of Oldenburg. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her brother Bernard Beckmann Jr.
Mary’s wishes were to be cremated. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 17th at the Weigel Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Jey Sengolraj officiating. The family requests memorials to Our Hospice of Columbus, Indiana.
