Martha Ann (Husband) Lunsford, 78, of Sunman, Indiana, and formerly Richmond, Indiana, passed away peacefully at 3:02 p.m. on August 12, 2025, at home with family.
She was born on January 1, 1947, in Shelbyville, Kentucky, and is the daughter of Lester Thomas and Amanda Katherine (Clark) Husband.
Martha enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. There wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for her family. Martha thoroughly enjoyed taking candid pictures of people she knew and loved when they least expected it. She enjoyed canning vegetables from the garden in the summer alongside her husband, sewing, singing, camping, puzzles, going to church events as well as going to church. Martha was a very dedicated Christian and loved her Lord and Savior with all of her heart. Martha and Billy were dedicated members of Hope Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, Indiana, since November 8, 2016.
Martha married the love of her life, Billy Lunsford, on June 30, 1963. Martha and Billy had a true love for one another, and it showed. Martha retired from Hill-Rom in 2013 after working for the company for 43 years.
She is survived by her loving husband, Billy Lunsford, of 62 years; daughters, Arlena (Tracy) Emery and Pamela Estes; grandchildren, Donald Getz III, Samantha Getz (KJ Clark), Kalene Getz (Corey Foutty), and Matthew (Krystal) Estes; great-grandchildren, Tyeler Gulden, Karley Clark, and Julian; siblings, Carroll (Maggie) Husband and Harold (Montica) Husband; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester Thomas and Amanda Katherine (Clark) Husband; her brothers, Wallace Franklin Hornback and Harold Thomas “Buddy” Husband; sister, Anna Blanche (Husband) Bradley; and her grandparents, James Wallace and Sarah Ann (Sallee) Clark, and Austin Taylor and Maggie Willis (Inman) Husband.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025 from 11:00 pm to 1:00 pm. A funeral service will be held following visitation at 1:00 pm, all at Meyers Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville.
