Marjorie L. Gardner, age 93, of Brookville, Indiana died Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville, Indiana.
Born December 16, 1924 in Brookville, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Anthony & Margaret (Peters) Roell. On October 18, 1962 she was united in marriage to Paul (Gabby) Gardner, and he survives.
Marge was retired from the former Public Service Indiana, where she had worked for many years. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Brookville, as well as the Daughters of Isabella St. Catherine Circle.
Besides Paul her loving husband of over 55 years, survivors include a son & daughter-in-law, Michael & Terri Gardner of Brookville, Indiana, and two grandsons, Alex Gardner and Grant Gardner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Neligh and Florence Roell; and three brothers, Paul Roell, Lewis Roell, and Jack Roell.

The Very Rev. Sean R. Danda will officiate the Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, February 3, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church,145 East St. Michael Blvd., Brookville. Burial will then follow in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Brookville.
