Marie Caudill of New Point, Indiana passed away on August 28, 2023 at Arbor Grove Village. The daughter of Elby and Mary Jane (Barrett) Davidson was born on May 6, 1939 in LeRose, KY. She was 84 years old.
Marie married Kenneth Caudill on September 2, 1956 in Brookville, IN and he passed away in 2018.
Marie was a homemaker who loved cooking and taking care of her family, always spoiling her children and grandchildren. She was a faithful member of the New Point Baptist Church who enjoyed serving her church. Over the years, she was a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher and even volunteered her time to clean the church. Marie enjoyed singing too, and sang along with her husband Kenneth in a gospel group.
She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Teresa Collins (Dennis) and Trina Caudill (William Liquori); son, Jerry Caudill; siblings, Ada Griffin (Roy), Connie Sue Watkins (Rick), brother-in-law, Michael Lanning and sister-in-law, Joyce Davidson, plus her step-mother, Doris Davidson.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Geraldine Lanning, Shirley Houston and MacArthur Davidson.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 10:00am until 12:00pm with a funeral service immediately following, all at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville. Troy Caudill is officiating with burial in the Rossburg Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospital by bringing to services or mailing to Meyers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 202, Batesville, IN 47006.
