Marian A. Lykins, 95 of Dillsboro passed Tuesday September 20, 2017 at the Waters of Dillsboro. Marian was born Monday July 24, 1922 in Rush County, Indiana the daughter of Rex and Minnie Leota (Harris) McHenry. Marian had worked as a switchboard operator, bookkeeper, and then retired from Schenley Distillery, then went back to work retiring from the Waters of Rising Sun. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Milton. She loved reading, cooking, working, and spending time with her family.
Marian is survived by son Carl Cleveland Lykins Jr. (Peggy) of Connersville, daughter Bonnie Collier of Dillsboro, brother Robert Dean McHenry of Connersville, sister Shirley Jean (Charlie) Craft of Florida, 5 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 18 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 4 sisters.
Friends and family may gather Saturday September 23 from 2-4PM at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home. A service to honor her life will be held Saturday at 4PM at the funeral home.
