Margaret Ellen Hunter, 85 of Greensburg, passed away with her family by her side at the Restoracy of Whitestown in Whitestown, Indiana on January 25, 2022. She was born on September 7, 1936 in Greensburg, Indiana the daughter of Harry and Ruth (Straber) Hunteman. Margaret was a 1954 graduate of St. Paul High School. She married Lewis Hunter on June 6, 1959 and together they had two children: Mark and Linda. Margaret loved spending time with her family. She was an accomplished seamstress and she also loved baking and music. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greensburg.
She leaves behind her daughter Linda (Todd) Kaiser; Grandchildren Michael (Amanda) Hunter, Jonathan Hunter, Blake Bower and Brianna Bower; Great Grandchildren, Anabell and Luke Hunter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Hunter; her mother and father, Ruth and Harry Hunteman; her four sisters, Helen Gunter, Dorothy Brown, Florence Hunteman and Mary Fruchnicht; and her son, Mark Hunter.
A visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Greensburg from 12:00 pm until the time of the Funeral at 1:00 pm. Pastor Greg Redd will be officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Aerie Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church of Greensburg.
