DEARBORN COUNTY, IN — An unidentified man was rescued from a creek in Dearborn County Sunday.
Dearborn County Water Rescue was called around Noon when a man became stranded on a houseboat on Laughery Creek after the vessel got stuck in ice.
Crews were able to bring the man safely to shore not long after arriving on the scene.
Officials are reminding residents that as water levels go up due to snow and ice melting, it is dangerous to enter floodwaters and fast-moving currents on foot, in a vehicle, or on a boat.
