FRANKLIN COUNTY, IN — A man is dead following a two-vehicle crash that happened on the 9,000 block of US 52 south of Brookville around 8:00 Thursday morning.
Indiana State Police say a car driven by 42-year-old Elvis Faul of Winchester, Ohio was eastbound on 52 when, for an unknown reason, his vehicle crossed the centerline and into the path of a semi pulling a trailer, driven by 38-year-old Taranjit Singh of West Chester, Ohio.
The vehicles collided in the westbound lane.
Faul was pronounced dead at the scene by the Franklin County Coroner’s Office, while Singh escaped injury.
US 52 was shut down between Richland Creek and Holland roads for about four hours during the crash investigation and cleanup.
Toxicology reports are pending and the investigation is ongoing.
