Louise Thomas, 93, of New Point, Indiana, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Margaret Mary Health in Batesville.
She was born on October 11, 1932, in Oscaloosa, Kentucky, to Anzil and Cinda (Combs) Ison and raised in Whitesburg, Kentucky. On April 3, 1948, she was united in marriage to Bennie Thomas Jr. in Whitesburg, Kentucky. He preceded her in death.
Louise was a devoted homemaker and worked at Minears in Greensburg for 34 years before retiring. A faithful member of New Point Christian Church, she found comfort in reading her Bible. She loved tending her flowers and garden, and enjoyed cooking for her family.
She is survived by her sons, Ronny Thomas and Jeffrey (Stephanie) Thomas; grandchildren, Doug (Christina) Thomas, Danny Thomas Jr., Robert (Lindsey) Thomas, Carla Thomas, Christopher Thomas, Patricia (Matt) Buzard, and Royce Cooley (Michael Hensler); great-grandchildren, Grace (Nick), Sarah, Noah, Liam, Aidan, and Clara; cousin, Lynnette Trent and niece, Cynthia Eversole (Alan Jung).
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bennie, sister Lelah Faye Williams, sons Danny Thomas Sr. and Lanny Thomas, daughters-in-law Debbie Thomas and Debbie Thomas; and granddaughter, Rebecca Mae.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at New Point Christian Church. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Dennis Spears and Pastor Mark Vice officiating. Burial will be at Rossburg Cemetery.
