Louetta Anderson, 76, Greensburg

Louetta Anderson, 76, Greensburg, passed away at Decatur County Memorial Hospital on October 10, 2024 at 8:33 pm.  

Louetta was born on November 10, 1947 in Hazard, Kentucky to Ray Smith and Reba (Cole) Smith.

Louetta was a proud homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking for family and sharing new and old recipes that were cut and clipped from magazines and newspapers. Louetta took pride in studying the word of God; She would take notes and study quotes and passages from the Bible. As a token of her appreciation to others, she would carry little hard candies in her pocket or a “bag”  and hand them out to everyone she appreciated.

She is survived by her daughter Susan (Greg) Clapp of Greensburg, Indiana, son Dwayne (Melissa) Davis of Carthage, Indiana, daughter Sonda (Brian) Davis of Seymour, Indiana, daughter Kim (George) Connell of Greensburg, Indiana, daughter Celebra (Brian) Anderson of Taylorsville, grandchildren include: Spenser (Amy) Smith, Cory Williams, Ryan (Emily) Williams, William Clapp, Shane (Madison) Clapp, Amanda Williams, Matthew Williams, Victoria Rolf, Taylor Balser, Gabrielle Rossittis, Angelina Rossittis, Zane Rossittis, Meghan Connell and Melinda Connell. Great grandchildren include: Ruthy Williams, Blakley Williams, Christian Hernandez, Sam Hernandez, Brooklyn Sanders and a great great grandchild on the way. Louetta is also survived by her brother, Ray (Joyce) Smith of Hamilton, Ohio.

Louetta was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one sister.

Her family gratefully acknowledges the entire staff at Decatur County Memorial Hospital and Aspen Place Health Campus for the loving care they provided our mom. 

A visitation will be held for family and friends on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. After the conclusion of the visitation a graveside service will be held at South Park Cemetery starting at 1:15 PM.
