Indianapolis, IN — A longtime Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office employee was recognized for her years of service with a prestigious statewide award.

Prosecutor Chris Huerkamp presented Phyllis Schwegman with the Kathy Faulkner Richey Award at the recent Indiana Prosecuting Attorneys Council (IPAC) annual Winter Conference in Indianapolis.

Schwegman started working in the prosecutor’s office Child Support Division in 2001 and retired this spring.

She was recognized for her work on thousands of child support cases – some of which lasted for years.

Schwegman continues her work in the Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office Child Support Division on a part-time basis.

IPAC has honored recipients of the Richey Award since 2011.

The award is named after IPAC’s former office administrator and its recipients are chosen based on a commitment to service.
