Lois E. McLaughlin, 91, Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. Born April 2, 1926, daughter of Harley D. and Callie (Hardin) Anderson, in Henry Co. Indiana. She graduated from Spiceland High School in 1944 and had an Associate degree in Accounting. She married James R. McLaughlin February 22, 1946 and he preceded her in death on March 19, 2012. She is survived by one son, Alan McLaughlin (Cindy) of Greensburg, and one daughter, Sally (Baker) (Tim) Frykman of Atlanta Georgia. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Debra Snyder (Jeff), James A. McLaughlin , Lauren Gill (Chad), and Lindsey McIntosh (Danny), three step grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, five step great grandchildren, and one great great grandson. She is also survived by many great wonderful nieces and nephews. She was the last of seven children. Those preceding her in death were brothers Donald and George Anderson and sisters Anabel Riley, Eloise Reece, Doris Liggett and Athleen Cook. Lois loved golf and played for nearly sixty years as a member of the Greensburg Country Club for 65 years. She worked as a bookkeeper for their business for years, then as secretary in personnel at Bohn Aluminum and credit manager for Decatur County Co-op for twenty years retiring in 1985. She also enjoyed working with the Brownie and Cub Scouts for 12 years. Lois was a woman of great faith and a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a loving, devoted and loyal person. Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 28th from 10 – 11:00 a.m. at United Methodist Church followed by a celebration of life memorial service at 11:00.
