Lois Ann Weber, 91, Greensburg

Lois Ann Weber, 91, of Greensburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Aspen Place, surrounded by her loving family.

Born April 17, 1934, in Decatur County, Indiana, Lois was the daughter of Arthur and Helen (Herndon) Vanderbur. She graduated from Sand Creek High School in 1952 and, shortly later, married the love of her life, Norman E. Weber, on April 13, 1952. Their enduring love story began at the Five & Dime store, where Lois worked at the candy counter. Norman would visit each week, drawn in by the sweet treats—and even more so by the “pretty girl behind the counter.” They dated for two years before exchanging vows and building a beautiful life together. Norman preceded her in death on May 5, 2019.

Lois was a dedicated and hardworking woman. She spent three years at Hunter Pharmacy, followed by 13 years in office work at the local hospital, and later served at Dr. Domingo’s Clinic for 9.5 years until her retirement in 1998. Beyond her professional life, she was a faithful and active member of the First Church of God in Greensburg since the early 1980s, where she also served as a former church secretary.

A woman of many talents and passions, Lois loved camping, flea marketing, flower gardening, cooking (famous for her beloved beef and noodles), cross stitching, and quilting. Her creativity, warmth, and joyful spirit were gifts she shared generously with family and friends.

Lois is survived by her devoted children: Larry E. (Rose) Weber, Debbie (Donald) Murphy, Susie Cupp, Sallie Schoettmer, and Becky (Gary) Lee; 12 grandchildren: Joe (Kate) Weber, Chris (Jenna) Weber, Corey (Sheyenne Werner) Weber, Kylie (BJ) Galbreth, Heather (Seth) Garrett, Lindsey (Justin) Bahr, Jeff Turner, Emily (Christopher) Sentman, Daniel Schoettmer, Andrea Lee, Michelle (Jordan) Hash, and Alex (Shea) Lee; and 23 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, John (Helen) Vanderbur.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Norman; sisters, Kay Laudick and Betty Maddux; and brother, James Vanderbur.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, July 14, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Lois will be laid to rest at Smyrna Lutheran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of God in Greensburg or the American Heart Association.

Lois’s life was marked by kindness, faith, and an unwavering devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
