Lois Ann (Graver) Lade, 79, Harrison

Lois Ann (Graver) Lade, 79, of Harrison, Ohio passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025, at her home with her loving family by her side. Lois was born September 4, 1945, in Cincinnati, Ohio, raised in Dillsboro, Indiana, and was the daughter of Leroy and Deloris (Greive) Graver. Lois was a legal secretary, working for three different downtown Cincinnati law firms over the course of 50 years. Lois was a member of, and was baptized, confirmed, and married at Trinity Lutheran Church in Dillsboro. In 1969 she and Marcus Lade were wed and eventually moved to the “big city” in 1971, at which time they became members of Peace Lutheran Church of Cincinnati. She has remained a member of Peace for 54 years.

Lois was a devoted Missouri Synod Lutheran and spent a lifetime involved in the Lutheran church and with her church family. She enjoyed reading, baking, and going out for lunch with her friends. Most of all Lois cherished spending time and making memories with her family. She yearned to be a witness of Christ to others, but only knew how to witness in a soft-spoken, gentle, and humble manner.

Lois will be missed by her children Sara (David) Daugherty of Hamilton, Paul (Cheryl) Lade of Cincinnati, and Anne (Collin) Hawkins of Harrison; brother Paul Graver of Cincinnati; grandchildren Ryan Bradford, Oria Daugherty, Ethan Daugherty, Madison Lade, and Daniel Lade; and the father of her children, Marcus Lade.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents Leroy and Deloris Graver; brothers David and John Graver; and sister Ruth Johnson.

Family and friends may gather in remembering Lois from 9:00-11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church: 9901 Central Ave, Dillsboro, IN 47018. Services will immediately follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Eli Shaw officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery with lunch to follow back in the church basement at Trinity. Memorials may be given in honor of Lois to Peace Lutheran Church.
