(Brookville, IN) – Franklin County Ag and Natural Resources Safety Day took place Thursday at the Fairgrounds in Brookville.
Organizers say the event for local 3rd and 4th grade students combines fun with education.
“This is an important day for us in Franklin County to expose the 3rd and 4th grade students of our schools to the importance of agriculture and natural resource conservation,” said Ag Day Organizing Committee President Mike Kohlsdorf. “The 3rd graders are assigned to stations that represent agriculture in Franklin County, and the 4th grade students are assigned to stations that represent natural resources and conservation in Franklin County.”
Volunteers from local organizations and agencies staffed those stations again this year.
