BATESVILLE, IN — The Batesville chapter of Beta Sigma Phi sorority recently awarded a scholarship to Batesville High School senior Courtney Chambers.

She is the daughter of Denise and Steve Chambers of Batesville and plans to attend Purdue University in the fall and pursue a degree in Nursing.

Each year the sorority members raise money to support local high school graduates through their Holiday Bazaar event and raffle.

Sorority members say they will hold the annual Holiday Bazaar at Batesville Primary School in November.

The popular community event is making a return after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

This will be the 50th year for the Holiday Bazaar with more details to be announced at a later date.
