Batesville, In. — Batesville’s Izzy’s Restaurant and Catering helped raise nearly $2000 for Safe Passage by hosting Name That Tune music trivia game on April 13.

Some 15 teams of about 100 people tried to name the song titles of various song categories, ranging from the 60s to Disney tunes. The songs were either recorded or performed live with Sr. Mary Ellen Gillman on the piano and Tim Mattingly on guitar.  The two teams with the most points advanced to the final round.

The SEI YMCA team lost in the final round to the Champion team made up of, pictured left, Adina Carr Caldwell, Michelle Doyle, Jeff Crail, and back row, Lisa Crail, Brenda Kopec and Alan Doyle.

Yorn said she appreciated the support from Izzy’s Restaurant, along with help from emcees Eric Heppner and Tim Hunter.

Proceeds will go toward support services for shelter and non-residential clients. Last year, Safe Passage helped over 1200 individuals through the shelter, toll-free line or non-residential programming.

The next fundraiser is the Bash Before the Stash, sponsored by Anytime Fitness, in Lawrenceburg. That event will be held May 17 at the Lawrenceburg Event Center
