Local counties see no change on Covid-19 restriction levels

Southeastern, IN — While more than half the counties across the state have seen improvements with their COvid-19 statistics, Ripley, Franklin, and Dearborn Counties will continue in the Red status category on the state’s color-coded metric map for another week. All three local counties did see small improvements in each statistic. There are no Yellow or Blue status counties this week.

• Ripley County statistics:
o 7-day positivity rate- 15.88% – down from 18.81% the week prior
o Weekly cases per 100,000 people- 416 – down from 829 the week prior

• Franklin County
o 7-day positivity rate- 17.91% – down from 20.18% the week prior
o Weekly cases per 100,000 people- 303- down from 430 the week prior

• Dearborn County
o 7-day positivity rate- 17.84%- down from 16.38% the week prior
o Weekly cases per 100,000 people- 551 – down from 760 the week prior

Decatur County also continues to stay in the Orange metric category.

• Decatur County
o 7-day positivity rate- 10.44% – down from 12.26% the week prior
o Weekly cases per 100,000 people- 368- down from 594 the week prior
