Linda Katherine (Russell) Ickenroth, 77, of Moores Hill passed away Sunday, December 25, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Dearborn. Linda was born on Thursday, August 2, 1945 in Milan; daughter of Lloyd and Bernice (Lows) Russell. Linda married the love of her life, Randy Ickenroth, on November 29, 1963. Linda was an Office Coordinator at Cinergy for 16 years and retired in 2004. She was a member of Sparta Baptist Church where she was a very involved member. Linda was also the president of Carnegie Hall Historical Society. She enjoyed going to her grandchildren’s activities which included basketball and baseball games, cheerleading, and show choir competitions. Linda and her church friends also took a yearly vacation to the Smokey Mountains for 18 years in a row. Linda enjoyed spending time at the farm where she lived. There is nothing she enjoyed more than spending time with her family.
Linda will be missed by her husband Randy Ickenroth of Moores Hill; son Marty (Cathy Collins) Ickenroth of Elsmere, Kentucky; daughter Holly (Steve) McLaughlin of Moores Hill; brother Bob (Kay) Russell of Moores Hill; sisters Carol Calhoun of Hamilton, Ohio, and Bonnie (Reid) Walker of Milan; grandchildren Matthew “Bubby” (Jessica) McLaughlin, Katie (Anthony Gillespie) McLaughlin, Heather (Eugene) Brown, and Rebecca (Brian Sharp) Ickenroth; as well as six great-grandchildren.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Bernice Russell; son Jeff Ickenroth; sister Vicky Fuller; and brother Leland “Butch” Russell.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Linda from 4-7 PM Friday, December 30, 2022 at Sibbett-Moore Funeral Home in Moores Hill. A service will take place 10 AM Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Sparta Baptist Church with Pastor Rick Burcham officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Sinai Cemetery.
Memorials may be given in honor of Linda to Sparta Baptist Church or Carnegie Hall Historical Society.
