Linda Ann Criswell, 75, of Indianapolis, formerly of Greensburg, passed away on April 6, 2022. She was born on June 22, 1946 in Connersville, Indiana as the first daughter of Elizabeth Moran Klingman and Otto C. Selm.
Linda was a 1964 graduate of Connersville High School where she was a majorette and enjoyed performing at games. True to her nurturing heart and passion for helping people, she attended St. Vincent School of Nursing in Indianapolis.
She married Donel James Criswell on July 31, 1965. She was a devoted stay at home mom and owned an early childhood preschool for many years. Her love for helping others led her into the healthcare industry working as a Nursing Home Administrator followed by Consulting and developing Leadership Seminars.
Survivors include: Husband, Donel Criswell, Indianapolis; Mother, Elizabeth Klingman, Greensburg; Daughters, Shelley (Ron) Mathis, Indianapolis, Lisa Criswell, Westfield and Julie Criswell, Carmel; Son, Scott (Jane) Criswell, Saint Charles, MO; Grandchildren, Lynn Criswell and Grant Criswell; and Sister, Marabeth Selm, Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by her Father, Otto C. Selm and her Brother, Robert James Meyer, Jr.
Linda enjoyed being active with her kids and grandchildren, loved making jewelry, spent time playing Scrabble and attended many IU and Colts football games over the years with her husband and family.
Service will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at 7:00 pm at Gilliland Howe Funeral Home, Greensburg, IN with Chaplain Mike Fields officiating. Friends may visit from 4:00 – 7:00 pm Sunday at Gilliland Howe.
A private burial service for Linda’s immediate family will be held on Monday, April 11, 2022 at Riverview Cemetery in Monticello.
