Lillie M. Magner Falch, 88, of Cross Plains passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg. She was born in Cincinnati on September 6, 1929 the daughter of Dave Bates and Pearlie McIntosh Carra. She was married to Melvin Magner on August 28, 1948 and he preceded her in death on December 17, 1993, then she married Carl Falch on October 22, 1994 and he preceded her in death on September 30, 2009. Other survivors include two sons Michael (Pam Burnett) Magner of Cross Plains and Keith (Becky) Magner of Cincinnati; four daughters Karen Philip (Kenny Riddell) of Cross Plains, Carolyn Polly of Lawrenceburg, Tresa Kirby (Ron Wolfe) and Tammy Houston (Kevin Shea) of Cincinnati, 16 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers Rudolph Bates and Woodrow Bates, and three sisters Allie Miller, Beatrice Head and Ruby Done. Mrs. Falch retired as a seamstress from Ficks Reed Furniture Company. Lillie was a member of the Bear Creek Baptist Church in Friendship, and the Legion and AmVets Auxiliary. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 9th, 2018 at 11:00am at the Bear Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Sherman Hughes officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati. Visitation will be on Tuesday starting at 9:00am at the church. Memorials may be given to the Bear Creek Baptist Church in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home.
