
(Statehouse) – State Sen. Jean Leising (R-Oldenburg) was one of four Indiana lawmakers to receive the ARMIGA Civility Award.
The recipients are picked from both caucuses in each chamber based on qualities of cooperation, friendliness and bipartisan attitude.
Also presented the award were State Sen. Mark Spencer (D-Gary), State Rep. Ed Clere (R-New Albany) and State Rep. Blake Johnson (D-Indianapolis).
The ARMIGA Civility in Government Award is presented by the Association of Retired Members of the Indiana General Assembly to recognize lawmakers who demonstrate exceptional bipartisanship, integrity, and professionalism in public service.
Leising represents Senate District 42, which includes Decatur, Fayette, Ripley and Rush counties, and portions of Franklin, Jennings and Shelby counties.
