Oldenburg, In. — Indiana’s unemployment rate has remained lower than the national average for more than four years. In August, Indiana’s rate was 3.5 percent, and the national rate was 3.9 percent.
At this rate, we also continue to outrank our neighboring states, with Michigan at 4.1 percent, Illinois at 4.1 percent, Ohio at 4.6 percent, and Kentucky at 4.4 percent.
