Batesville, In. — The Indiana State Department of Agriculture is accepting applications for livestock promotion and market development grants to facilitate growth in the livestock industry.
Republican state senator Jean Leising encourages any non-profit organization, association or commission with 501(C) status involved with cattle, swine, sheep, equine, goats, poultry, camelids, ostriches, cervidae, bison, aquaculture and rabbits to apply.
Market development grants can be used for feasibility studies, research projects and market development initiatives. Livestock promotion grants are available for educational programs, livestock shows, exhibitions and conventions.
Both grants will reimburse up to 50 percent of the amount spent to support the projects. For more information about how to apply click here. Applications are due by December 1, 2017. Awards winners will be announced in February of 2018.
