Batesville, IN — Today is the last day to make a donation this year to Families Helping Families (FHF). The program has been in operation for more than 25 years. The purpose of the program is to ensure no child goes without Christmas presents come Christmas Day. The FHF program only serves the Batesville School Corporation area. Families must meet certain financial criteria which includes being part of the free or reduced book program established by the school system.
FHF serves infants through age 18 years old children and in addition, provides Kroger gift cards to the family ranging from $50.00 to $250.00 depending on the size of the family. Last year the program served 124 families by providing more than 550 gifts and more than $8,500.00 in Kroger Gift cards.
Families Helping Families will be taking all monetary donations to purchase Kroger or Village store certificates for the local families in need. If you would like to help or know more about the program please contact Jim Saner at 812-525-1239 or Maureen Saner at 812-212-9797.
