Larry “Mike” Rumsey, 81, of Greensburg passed away on April 11, 2020 at Morning Breeze Nursing Home. He was born on March 22, 1939 in Greenhills, Ohio, the son of Lawrence and Mable Maffey Rumsey. On December 31, 1960 he married Bonnie Sue Collicott and together they had one son Jeff. Bonnie preceded Mike in death on January 8, 2001. He later married Suzanne Williamson on June 15, 2002, and she survives. Mike retired from Cummins after 35 years of service. He was a Volunteer Fireman for Burney for several years and operated a drainage and excavation business before starting at Cummins. Mike enjoyed playing basketball and softball, watching IU basketball and Nascar, and taking relaxing trips to Florida and Tennessee. He was a member of the Burney Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, and the Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include: Wife, Suzanne Rumsey; Son, Jeff (Lucy) Rumsey; Stepsons, Matt (April) Williamson and Jason Williamson; Sister, Patricia (Bill) Anderson; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by his parents; Sisters, Janet Rumsey and Carol June (Bill) Norris.
