We weren’t able to pull off a win today but we sure gave it our all losing 25-9, 25-23, 25-22. During set 2, I realized that we needed to block and slow down Greensburg front row. So, I pulled sophomore Makyah Richardson into front row beside Meredith Bohman and with those two able to either completely stop the attack or slow it down was a huge advantage. Even though we lost today, I’m still proud of how well this team played!!! Meredith Bohman had 8 kills, 1 ace and 11 blocks. Rachel Bischoff had 5 kills, 2 digs,1 ace and 3 blocks. Makyah Richardson had 2 kills, 1 assist, 1 dig and 3 blocks. Megan Getz had 11 assists, 2 digs along with a great run of serves that brought us back into the game during the 3rd set. Jenna Orschell had 1 kill and 4 digs. Anna Sacksteder had 1 kill and 3 blocks. Kelly Layton had 8 assists and 2 digs. Jalynn Rogers had 8 digs. Kaitlyn Obert jumped in back row for me today and had digs. Kelsey Vail had great coverage today. Layne Steele had 1 assist and kept the ball in play on her attacks along with great coverage. The JV Volleyball team came ready to play Saturday morning against the conference team Greensburg winning 25-22, 25-17. The played the net and covered the court great as a team!
