We had a very specific game plan heading into the game tonight, and Batesville forced us to make adjustments to that plan. It came down to execution and I think we did a great job using our strengths tonight.
‘Players are starting to step up in a big way. The last couple of matches, Kendall Gindling has had great performances. Tonight all of our hitters did a great job at moving the ball around and using different shots to score points. Our setters did a much better job at making smart choices which gave the hitters better opportunities.’
Our passing has been spot on lately, and tonight we took a little step back. That’s to be expected, but I have no doubt they will bounce back and perform at a higher level on Saturday.’ Trojans Coach Cassie Laker.
EC Varsity is now 6-1 on the season (4-0 in EIAC). Next up for varsity is the Brownstown Central Invitational on Saturday.
