The Greensburg girls basketball team shot 52% from the floor and hit 10 three-pointers in a 71-60 home win over Shelbyville Tuesday night. Leah West, Mylie Wilkison, and Aly Powers combined for 57 of the Pirates’ 71 points. West led the way for the Pirates with 20 points on 8-10 shooting. Wilkison added 19 and Powers scored 18. The Pirates held the Golden Bears to 37% from the floor in a strong defensive effort. Shelbyville’s Ava Wilson led all scorers with 26 points. The Pirates (3-1) are back in action Saturday when they host Jennings County. A junior varsity/varsity doubleheader begins at 6 p.m.
