Hope, IN – The North Decatur Chargers looked to finish off conference play the right way, travelling to Hauser. Success is indeed what they found.
The Lady Chargers came out of the gates firing on all cylinders, beginning the game on a huge 16-0 run to end the first quarter, holding the Jets scoreless! Defensive turned to offense early for ND.
A lower scoring second quarter found Hauser scoring their points, but, the Chargers kept their foot on the gas and held a 23-2 lead going into the locker room.
Even though North came out a little flat-footed in the second half, getting outscored by Hauser 25-19. This of course, wasn’t enough to overcome the lead that the Chargers built early on, final score 42-27. Kelsey Haley also set the all-time three point record, passing Julie Holzer with 145 makes. Haley is now at 153 3-pointers and is closing in on the single-season record with only 2 games remaining! Congratulations Kelsey!
