The St. Louis Lady Cardinals traveled to St. Mary’s Greensburg for our first away game. While we came back with a win and lose it was a great evening.
The 7th Grade Lady Cards pulled the win with a final score of 39-11. Scoring for SLS were Catherine Streator with 12 points, Ava Owens and Clarie Saner both with 6, Izza Wonnell with 5, Sadie Wachsmann with 4, and Lilly Schebler, Kate Weber, and Rhea Miller all with 2 each. We played a great game of rebounding the ball as not all shots were falling for us. This lead to many shot opportunities on the offensive end. The girls played an overall great game they are now 2-2 on the season.
The 8th Grade Lady Cards fell to St. Mary’s in a nail biter. The final score didn’t favor us but we held strong and came back the very last minute to make it a score of 40-38. We were down the whole game by 5 or more and rallied back. These girls never gave up! Scoring for us were Megan Bauer with 12 points, Catherine Streator with 9, Summer Ratcliffe and Claire Saner both with 4, Kate Weber with 3 AMAZING free throws to bring us within 2 with 2 seconds left, and Haley Geisen, Rhea Miller, and Madison Wanstrath all bringing 2 points to the game. Nice job ladies they are now 1-2 on the season.
