The 5th Grade Lady Cardinals hosted their second season game. Coming out with the win and a final score of 30-2 against The Mary’s Lady Bulldogs of Aurora.
Scoring for SLS were Hailee Weisenbach and MaryKara Wanstrath with 8pts each, Ava Becker with 6pts, Aubrey Baker with 4pts, and Jersey Trenkamp, Sophia Leising, and Maggie Tekulve all bringing 2pts. These girls played some amazing defense and accomplished the goals given to them.
Very proud of them and can’t wait to coach them in action again next week. The season record is 2-0!

The St. Louis 6th Grade Lady Cardinals improved to 2-0 on the season with a 31-4 win versus the St. Mary’s Lady Bulldogs.
The Lady Cardinals used a strong defensive effort to jump out to an 18-0 halftime lead. This group is so much fun to coach and watch as they all play for each other. These girls look for the open player and they try to get everyone involved. This shows by the balanced scoring.
Gina Grote led the way with 8 points. Gina also made numerous passes to teammates for assists. Next was Belle Young with 7 points. Belle was very aggressive on defense and even getting rebounds. Riley Seigel had 6 points and Olivia Leising added 4 points. Each played a very balanced game.
Once again we could not do it without the 5th graders. They all got to play and all did a great job especially Jersey Trenkamp who had 4 points herself. I am very proud of all of them with this 31-4 win.
The next game will be Monday (2-8) at St. Louis vs St. Nicholas at 6 pm.
