The Batesville Lady Bulldogs honored 9 seniors on Saturday morning as they were victorious on Senior Day against Franklin County.
All 9 seniors started the game for the Bulldogs and many of them contributed to the scoring column throughout the game. The Lady Bulldogs won 8-0 over the Lady Wildcats.
Sophomore, Kira Hertel was able to start off the scoring for Batesville off an assist from Senior, Emily Rose. Rose scored the 2nd goal off an assist from fellow senior, Rashel Roberts. Senior, Kelli Hartman scored off a corner kick taken by Hertel for the third score. Senior, Shelby Rupp ended the scoring tor the Lady Bulldogs in the first half off an assist from freshman, Taylor Rowlett.
In the second half, the Lady Bulldogs added four more goals including unassisted goals from Rose and Rupp, each had 2 goals in the match. Sophomore, Sylvia Phillips scored the 7th goal off an assist from Audrey Hall. Roberts notched her 2nd goal of her senior season to finish off the scoring off an assist from freshman, Jill Hartman.
The Lady Bulldogs are back in action on Monday as they travel to East Central for their final EIAC match of the season.
