The Batesville Girls Cross Country Team opened up their season last night with a victory over North Decatur, South Decatur and Greensburg.
The Bulldogs traveled to North Decatur on a hot and humid afternoon, but did not let that hinder them scoring 28 points to Greensburg’s 41 and North Decatur’s 64.
Top runners for the dogs were Kelsey Gausman, Mary Poltrack and Sarah Poltrack finishing 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively. Finishing out the top 5 for the girls were Maria Wessel, 7th and Katie Baumer, 9th.
Batesville will have a full week of practice before their next meet which is next Saturday where they will travel to Rushville to compete in their 50+ team Invitational.
