Congratulations to the Freshmen/C-Team of the Batesville Girls Basketball team as they put together 4 solid quarters of basketball last night and were crowned the EIAC Champions, beating Franklin County 33-18.
All of the ladies played some tenacious defense coming up with 12 steals and pulling down a total of 38 rebounds. Leading scorers for the Dogs were Kaylin Hinners and Claire Saner both with 12 points. Billie Puente contributed 6 points, Alyssa Nobbe with 2, and Lizzy Nobbe had 1 point. Rhea Miller and Laney McGuire both led the team in rebounds with 8 each and Claire Saner had 7. Billie Puente and Kaylin Hinners both led in steals with 3 each.
Congratulations ladies! A perfect way to end your crazy and sometimes frustrating (with all the cancellations) 2020-2021 season.
