The Pacers couldn’t close out the series Thursday night, falling to the Knicks 111-94 in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Indiana still leads the series 3-2 heading into Game 6 on Saturday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Jalen Brunson scored 44 points for New York, hitting 18 of 35 shots and adding seven assists. Josh Hart had 18 points and 11 rebounds before fouling out in the fourth quarter.
The Pacers shot just 6-of-26 from three-point range and were outscored 30-21 in the third quarter. Bennedict Mathurin led Indiana with 23 points off the bench. Tyrese Haliburton finished with 13 points and five assists but struggled with foul trouble and shooting, going 5-of-14 from the field.
The Knicks out-rebounded Indiana 53 to 29 and scored 20 second-chance points.
