Kenneth E. “Ken” Welch, 67, of Dillsboro passed away Monday, June 23, 2025, at his home with his loving family by his side. Ken was born on Thursday, January 9, 1958, in Cincinnati; son of Herbert and Betty (Schoonover) Welch. Ken married Julia (Wermuth) Welch, on March 26, 1976, and she survives him. Ken was a truck driver for 6 years and was also a mechanic at East Side Auto. He was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Harrison. Ken had a passion for working on vehicles and loved guns.
Ken will be missed by his wife Julia Welch of Dillsboro; sons Kenneth “Kenny” Welch Jr. of Milan, Matthew (Tocarra) Welch of Aurora, and Jacob Welch of Milan; sister Karen Welch of Ohio; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Betty Welch; sister Carol Cantor; and brother Joseph Welch.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Ken from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM, Friday, June 27, 2025, at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. Services will immediately follow at 12:00 PM. with John Desender officiating. Burial will follow at Akers Cemetery in Friendship. Memorials may be given in honor of Ken to American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
