John Corliss Evans, 89, of Coral Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026.
He was born on November 9, 1936, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Dr. J. Corliss Evans and Alvina N. Norwald Evans. John graduated from Sewanee Military Academy and went on to serve his community with dedication and integrity as a sergeant on the Cincinnati Police Force for 18 years. During his career, he earned the respect of his colleagues and the gratitude of the community he faithfully protected. He was also a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Ohio State Lodge No. 23164.
On July 7, 1956, John married Sanda Sue Behrendt, beginning a lifelong partnership built on devotion and shared memories. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a man of strong character, and someone who valued duty, honor, and family above all.
John was survived by his sons, Michael Evans and Jay (LaTisha) Evans; grandsons, Zachary (Samantha) Evans, Alexander (Delta) Evans; and great grandsons, Wyatt Evans and Hendricks Evans. He was preceded by his parents and his wife.
