SERVICE UPDATE…SERVICE UPDATE….SERVICE UPDATE

January 15, 2024, John Charles Hutchinson, 84, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home with his beloved wife Cindy (Huss) and his family at his side.
John was born on December 19, 1939, to Jack and Betty (Hesselbach) Hutchinson in Cincinnati, Ohio. Soon thereafter, Jack perished in the Battle of the Bulge during World War II, and John would eventually receive a great gift in his stepfather Edwin “Foddie” Boehme, who was a hardworking man of strong character and had exceptional sense of humor, something Foddie no doubt passed along to his stepson. In 1957, John graduated from Withrow High School and went on to serve his country in the United States Navy. He retired from Deluxe Engraving after a career of 30+ years.
Through the years, John enjoyed fishing, travelling, manicuring the lawn, cooking, a good game of Scrabble, family, and making friends wherever he went. John was authentically and wholeheartedly there for those in his life and he had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor with quick wit. He was generous, loyal, intelligent, and unselfish. His canine companions were dear to him. Rugger, Kerry and Buddy are on a long walk with him now. He was clever and full to the brim with knowledge gained through all of his life experiences.
He will be remembered for all the kindness he shared with his friends and family. When his time came, he carried himself with dignity, strength, and full of love for those who went before him.
John was predeceased by his parents Jack and Betty Hutchinson, stepfather Foddie Boehme and his son Eric Neil Hutchinson. He is survived by his wife, Cindy (Huss) Hutchinson, daughters, Pib (Jeff) Hallmark, Joelle (Alexander) Adams, Crissy (Bill) Stull, sons Derek (Carol) Griffiths & Derek Sprecker and nine beloved grandchildren, with eight great grandchildren with whom he always had time for a story or prank. He will be missed dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at the Community Fellowship Church, 505 Bielby Road, Lawrenceburg, Indiana 47025 at 12:00 pm
