John Alvin Dieckmann, 62, of Batesville passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017. He was born in Batesville on March 22, 1955 the son of Alvin and Velma Dieckmann. He was married to Kim Gutapfel on February 27, 1982 and she survives. Other survivors include two sons, Nathan (Crystal) Dieckmann of Batesville, and Drew (Jamie) Dieckmann of Trenton, Ohio; grandchildren Natalie and Harper Dieckmann, and Gavin and Gracyn Dieckmann; two sisters Susie Dieckmann of Gurnee, IL and Carol (Steve) McPherson of Batesville. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Dieckmann was a 1973 graduate of Batesville High School. A celebration of John’s life will be held on Saturday, October 21st from1 to 4pm at St. John Lutheran Hubbels. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
