It was another super boys’ high school basketball Friday night on WRBI. In the game you heard live, Cole Henry exploded for 30 points, helping his South Ripley Raiders to a 60-51 win over rival South Dearborn. In an even tighter game, Waldron needed overtime to get past South Decatur, 57-54. Also, Oldenburg Academy dropped Union County 62-52, Hauser ripped Jac-Cen-Del 68-32, and Greenfield Central smacked Franklin County, 62-32.
Today, that massive triple-header we’ve been telling you about is finally here! We open with regular-season boys’ play this afternoon, East Central visiting Batesville, the Bulldogs having just won Thursday night over Rushville. The Dogs & Trojans tip at 1:30– WRBI pregame coverage about 1:15.
Then, it’s girls’ regional tournament action, the first of 2 games tipping at 4:00. North Decatur’s 18-win, 6-loss Chargers charge into West Washington High, to take on the 20 & 6 Miners of Linton-Stockton. I’ll bring you the play-by-play, and Charger grad Lindsey Nobbe’s our special guest analyst, the broadcast probably beginning a little earlier than usual, so listen anytime after 3:30 for the 4:00 tip here on WRBIRadio.com, as well as on the radio at 103.9 FM, and on the new WRBI app. There’s bonus coverage too, keeping you up on the score of the Greensburg-Scottsburg game, happening at the same time.
And tonight at 7:00, it’s still more girls’ regional excitement, with Jac-Cen-Del’s 20 & 5 Eagles facing the 19 & 7 Eminence Eels, at the Southwestern High gym in Shelby County. Again, listen for extended pregame coverage, and our good friends Chris Wooldridge and Mike Hall bringing you the action.
Remember if you’re going to be at any of the games, you can listen to our calls, right on your device, either at the website or on the app. You can download the app right now in fact, just to be ready, from either Google Play or the App Store.
