(Jennings County, IN) – A Jennings County man was arrested Wednesday on an initial charge of possession of child pornography.
Indiana State Police troopers from the Versailles Post say Jennings County Sheriff’s Office investigators received a cybertip on Tuesday from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, indicating someone had been sharing and receiving pornographic images of children via a social media app.
The investigators, who are part of the Internet Crimes Against Children-Indiana Task Force, were able to quickly identify the address in Jennings County where the images were shared and received.
They identified 27-year-old Kordell T. Nienaber of Elizabethtown as a suspect.
A search warrant was served at Nienaber’s home, where investigators say they found additional evidence.
Nienaber was arrested on a charge of Possession of Child Pornography (Level 4 felony). He was booked in the Jennings County Jail, pending an initial court appearance.
ISP says the investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are possible.
The Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is a multi-agency task force comprised of law enforcement officers throughout Indiana who work together to target people who are committing crimes against children.
ISP manages and leads the ICAC Task Force.
