Jeannette Marie Welsh (nee Harris) passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the age of 64 after a life defined by grit, humor, and an unmistakable independence. Impossible to forget, she left her mark on everyone who knew her and would brush off any setback because she was “a tough little buckaroo”. Jeannette had one biological child and a large family by marriage. She lived in Greensburg, Indiana with her husband, Kevin Welsh. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Mary Harris and her brother, Jesse “Butch” Harris. To many she was proudly and lovingly known as Mamaw Jeannie. Her quick wit, passion, and offbeat sense of humor shaped a wide circle of family and friends — everyone was welcome. She served in the United States Navy — something she rarely mentioned and never bragged about — and lived the rest of her life with the same quiet toughness. She avoided shoes whenever possible and rules whenever practical.
